The Extension requires the ability to read the content of your active Gemini chat page and to download files to your computer. This is managed through the following minimum required permissions and site access declarations:

• Access to gemini.google.com: A content script is run exclusively on pages matching https://gemini.google.com/*. Its sole purpose is to be ready to extract the chat data when you decide to export. The extension does not run on any other website.
• activeTab: This permission ensures that the main export process is only triggered when you, the user, click the extension's icon on an active Gemini tab. It acts as a key privacy safeguard.
• downloads: This permission is used only to activate your browser's "Save As" dialog, allowing you to save the file you created.
